Vibrating Wire Piezometer

Probedrill can install Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VWP) to a requested depth (either sensor down or sensor up) in a timely manner, without the need for costly borehole construction.

An initial CPT is conducted to determine the soil structure and the required depth of the VW piezometer. A disposable cone is used to push the VW piezometer to the required depth using the CPT rigs. The VW piezometers can then be backfilled with a cement/bentonite grout, as per standard practice.

We can also install multiple VWP’s (inverted) at various depths, within the one test location. This saves our clients time and money by speeding up the installation process.
