Dissipation Testing
Dissipation testing can be conducted during a Pore Pressure test (CPTu) and is obtained by recording the value of pressure against time while the CPT test has been paused and the Cone is stationary.
As with a Dilatometer test (DMT), results from dissipation tests can be used to determine permeability and the coefficient of consolidation.
Our dissipation tests are plotted with the Pore Pressure (CPTu) results. Click here to see an example of our Pore Pressure / Dissipation plots.
